XXXI MADEIRA MUSIC FESTIVAL 2010

The Madeira Music Festival is a prestigious event which significantly enriches the cultural life of this Autonomous Region.

Supported by the Regional Department of Cultural Affairs, the Festival takes place this year during the first fortnight of June, with daily and diverse programmes, which seek to attract different audiences with its content of very varied genres, repertoires and performers, through which it aims at the level of quality which has always characterized this event in our annual cultural calendar.

Now part of a larger project, of wider scope, entitled “Cultural Festivals of Madeira” (which includes Raízes do Atlântico, in July, and the Organ Festival, in October), which has attracted funding from the European Union, the Festival of Music takes place in various buildings of distinction which are part of the patrimony of Madeira, thus offering the possibility of a deeper experience to the audiences who seek our unique cultural and touristic heritage, and contributing to the enrichment and consolidation of the Festival of the Atlantic, which is the dominant theme for the month of June in the promotion of Madeira as an attractive destination.

Our thanks to all the organizations, public and private, who have given their support and collaboration to the Madeira Music Festival in in order that it may once again be an element of the highest dignity and quality in our cultural programming.
