WIENER INSTRUMENTALSOLISTEN
The Wiener Instrumentalsolisten was founded in 1978 and constitutes a chamber music association of the Vienna Symphony Orchestra and the Vienna Opera House. The artistic object is to perform chamber music stressing solo performances. In the years the Vienna Instrumental Soloists have existed they have given concerts of different instrumentation. In addition to performing renaissance, baroque and classical music the ensemble is also very active in performing contemporary works including jazz inspired music. In this respect compositions for unorthodoxe instrumentation are preferred.
The Vienna Instrumental Soloists have been active internationally. They have made concert tours to nearly all European countries, USA, Russia, Belarus, South Africa, Japan, China, Thailand, Singapore, the Philippines, Israel, Turkey, Jordan, Egypt and many others.
The ensemble has played concerts also at a lot of festivals in Austria: Bregenz Festival, Haydnfestival Eisenstadt, Carinthischer Sommer, Internationaler Musiksommer Millstatt, Klangbogen Vienna and also international: Haydnbiennale Mechelen (Belgium), Festival Eté Mosan (Belgium), Chamber Music Festival Toronto (Canada), Stogumber Festival (UK), Musiksommer zwischen Inn und Salzach (Germany), Denkmalkonzerte in Germany, Cervantino Festival in Mexico, Istanbul Festival, Chamber Music Festival in Israel, Macao Festival, Festival of Music in Minsk (Belarus), Bourglinster Festival of Music (Luxembourg) and others.
Rudolf Gindlhumer studied at the Anton-Bruckner-Conservatory in Linz and finished his studies at the University for Music in Vienna. He is solo flautist in the Wiener Volksoper and professor in the Conservatory for Music in Vienna. He was substitute many times in the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, Vienna Symphony Orchestra, the Tonkünstler Orchestra, Vienna Radio Symphony Orchestra, Vienna Chamber Orchestra. As soloist he performed with the Tonkünstler Orchestra and South African Orchestras, he was also teaching in Korea. He has done lots of tours as a chamber musician and also as soloist in Europe, USA, Russia and in the Far and Near East. He took part in productions for TV and radio stations, and CD productions. He has got the Silver Badge for Merits and in the year 2007 he got the title of a “Professor” by the President of the Austrian Republic.
Konrad Monsberger
Is a member of the Vienna State Opera. He studied in the Conservatory for Music in Graz and in the University for Music in Vienna.
He did tours with the Vienna Philhamonic Orchestra in many parts of the world, worked also many times as a trumpet teacher in Japan and was travelling as a trumpet soloist with the Wiener Instrumentalsolisten. He is also a member of the Haydn Philharmonic Orchestra, which is an orchestra for Austria and Hungary (under Adam Fischer) and of the Vienna Chamber Orchestra. He took part in Radio Productions in Europe and in CD productions also as a jazz trumpeter with different bands. In 2009 he was made a “Professor” by the Austrian President.
Helmut Ascherl studied trombone and piano in the University of Music in Vienna. When he was 16 years old he was already engaged in the Wiener Volksoper. In the year 1974 he became a member of the Vienna Symphony Orchestra. He founded the Wiener Instrumentalsolisten in 1978. He has been teaching in the Conservatory of Music in Vienna for many years. He was substitute in all Viennese Orchestras (Vienna Philharmonic, Tonkünstlerorchester, Vienna Radio Symphony Orchestra, Vienna Chamber Orchestra and Vienna Johann Strauß Orchestra) and many ensembles (die reihe, Mvsica Antiqva Vienna, Concentus musicus, Orchester Johannes Fehring, ORF-Big Band etc.). In 1974 he got the Golden Badge for Merits for the Republic of Austria and in 1990 he got the title “Professor” by the President of the Austrian Republic. He took part in productions for TV and radio stations in Europe and Asia and in CD productions.
Karl Eichinger studied classical piano in the University of Music in Vienna and jazz piano at the Conservatory for Music in Vienna.
He is a professor for music in a High School near Vienna, concerts as piano soloist and with different Austrian Orchestras (Schumann Piano Concerto, Grieg Piano Concerto, Rhapsody in Blue etc.), very much wanted as an accompanist of singers and instrumental soloists. He played for the Radio and took part in CD productions.
In 2010 he got the Silver Badge of the Austrian Republic for Worlswide Musical Merits. |
